What to Expect on a Sailingtrip with Sailwithus
From Saturday to Saturday: Booking your trip is as simple as it gets. Once confirmed, you'll promptly receive all the details about your sailing route and destination. You arrange your own travel, but we're always happy to help with hotel recommendations and local tips. Two days before departure, we'll send you exact directions to the harbor so you're ready to embark!
Start of your adventure
Arriving on Friday or by Saturday lunchtime is ideal. Please reach the port on Saturday between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to settle in and go over a quick safety briefing with your skipper. Afterward, a small team from the crew takes our sailwithus shopping list to stock up on food and drinks for the week. Official yacht check-in is after 5:00 PM, and we usually set sail on Sunday morning.
Catering on the sailing trip
Everything is stowed in the yacht. Now you go out to eat together. sailwithus has reserved tables for the whole crew in a typical local restaurant. The skipper will give you a yacht briefing including galley, lines and sails before you set off. The following days are relaxed. The pattern: relaxed breakfast on board, cast off, head for the day's destination, lunch snack with a swim stop. You arrive at your destination in the afternoon. You see: plenty of time to swim, read, take a nap or explore a small town before you cook dinner with your crew or go to a local restaurant.
Sailing trip routes
You can find route suggestions on our holiday destinations pages – from Greece to Croatia, Italy or Spain. The skippers consult with the crew and usually suggest two or three individual routes. A colorful harbor, a secluded bay or an intermediate destination with a swim stop? You decide as a crew. Your destination for the day depends on the wind and on you.
Your Vacation, Your Vibe
Sailing with sailwithus is a personalized experience where you shape the journey. Evenings are completely flexible and tailored to what the crew feels like doing. Whether you want to head ashore to explore local nightlife or unwind in a hammock on deck under the stars, you'll always find like-minded crewmates to join in. Either way, no two days are ever the same!
Last day on board
You have already packed your travel bag and sail back to the starting port, where you will arrive between 3 and 6 pm.
Wrapping Up & Departure
Your trip concludes on Saturday morning with check-out by 9:00 AM. We usually return to the home marina on Friday afternoon, giving your skipper time to complete the official yacht handover with the charter company (taking about 30 to 60 minutes). Final cleaning is fully included, so you only need to leave the yacht swept clean. Enjoy one last breakfast on board Saturday morning before saying goodbye to your crew!
